mysql ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) 해결

호기롭게 mysql 연습을 하기위해 mysql에 로그인하려 했으나

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

이런 에러가 떠서 앞으로 이런 에러가 뜨지 않기 위해 한번씩 에러들을 정리하고 해결방법을 정리할 필요가 있는것 같다!

해결방법

mysql.server start

Starting MySQL
 SUCCESS! 
 
mysql -u root -p
Enter password:
