1. Record Types

A

maps a hostname to IPV4

• example.com -> 1.2.3.4

AAAA

maps a hostmane to IPV6

CNAME

maps a hostname to another hostname

• The target hostname is a domain which must have an A or AAAA record
• Can't create a CNAME for the top node of DNS namespace
• ex ) example.com에 대한 CNAME 레코드 생성 불가
  www.example.com에 대한 CNAME 레코드 생성 가능

NS

Name Server for the Hosted Zone

• control how traffic is routed for a domain

2. Hosted Zone

• container for records that define how to route traffic to a domain and its sub domain
