자주 쓴 메서드 몇 개 정리

String.repeat()

repeat() 메서드는 문자열을 주어진 횟수만큼 반복해 붙인 새로운 문자열을 반환한다.

'abc'.repeat(-1);   // RangeError
'abc'.repeat(0);    // ''
'abc'.repeat(1);    // 'abc'
'abc'.repeat(2);    // 'abcabc'
'abc'.repeat(3.5);  // 'abcabcabc' (count will be converted to integer)
'abc'.repeat(1/0);  // RangeError

({ toString: () => 'abc', repeat: String.prototype.repeat }).repeat(2);
// 'abcabc' (repeat() is a generic method)

Array.findIndex()

findIndex() 메서드는 주어진 판별 함수를 만족하는 배열의 첫 번째 요소에 대한 인덱스를 반환한다.
만족하는 요소가 없으면 -1을 반환한다.

const array1 = [5, 12, 8, 130, 44];

const isLargeNumber = (element) => element > 13;

console.log(array1.findIndex(isLargeNumber));
// Expected output: 3

Array.reduce()

reduce() 메서드는 배열의 각 요소에 대해 주어진 리듀서 (reducer) 함수를 실행하고, 하나의 결과값을 반환한다.

const array1 = [1, 2, 3, 4];

// 0 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4
const initialValue = 0;
const sumWithInitial = array1.reduce(
  (accumulator, currentValue) => accumulator + currentValue,
  initialValue
);

console.log(sumWithInitial);
// Expected output: 10

Array.map()

map() 메서드는 배열 내의 모든 요소 각각에 대하여 주어진 함수를 호출한 결과를 모아 새로운 배열을 반환한다.

const array1 = [1, 4, 9, 16];

// Pass a function to map
const map1 = array1.map(x => x * 2);

console.log(map1);
// Expected output: Array [2, 8, 18, 32]

여러 가지 메서드에 익숙해지고 싶어서 조만간은 메서드만 주구장창 올릴 것 같다.
