[DATASET] Download ImageNet-1K on Linux Server

Download ImageNet-1K train/val dataset from academic torrents using transmission

1. Install transmission-daemon on linux server

sudo apt-get install transmission-daemon

2. Check if transmission works well

ps -ef | grep transmission

3. Stop transmission-daemon and edit setting

sudo service transmission-daemon stop
sudo nano /etc/transmission-daemon/settings.json

4. Change setting
   • download-dir : file directory when downloads complete
   • incomplete-dir : file directory when downloads not complete
   • rpc-password : user password
   • rpc-port : port num
   • rpc-username : user name
   • rpc-whitelist-enabled : use false to access on any ip
5. Change directory permission

sudo chmod 777 -R /download-dir
sudo chmod 777 -R /incomplete-dir

6. Run daemon

sudo service transmission-daemon start

7. Access to linux server and download ImageNet from academic torrents
   

• Access to linux server by https://server_ip:port_num

• ImageNet-1K train dataset : academic torrent link

• ImageNet-1K val dataset : academic torrent link
