📍 리다이렉트(Redirect)

서버가 클라이언트에게 특정 URL로 이동하라고 알려주는 과정을 의미한다. 일반적으로 사용자를 한 URL에서 다른 URL로 보내는 데 사용된다.

리다이렉트 실행 시, 서버는 클라이언트에게 300번대의 HTTP 상태 코드(Status Code)와 다시 요청할 위치 정보(Location)를 응답으로 보내 리다이렉트 정보를 알려준다.

정상적으로 처리될 경우, 200번대의 HTTP 상태 코드는 마지막 요청 시 응답받는다.

response.sendRedirect("클라이언트가 다시 요청 보낼 주소(Location)")

📍 예시

페이지 1 -> Servlet(데이터 처리 및 페이지 2로 리다이렉트) -> 페이지 2의 흐름이다.

Servlet에서 리다이렉트를 할 경우, 콘텐츠 타입은(response.setContentType())은 설정하지 않아도 된다. 콘텐츠 타입은 최종적으로 응답되는 페이지에서 설정한다.
