Subject : Architecture, cloud and Amazon AWS developer's life
230524 I met with a Korean Amazon AWS developer for 3 hours, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and we had a lengthy discussion. The main topic was architecture and cloud computing, and we also discussed the impact of AWS on current infrastructure, MS Azure, and GCM. The first thing that stood out to me was the concrete realization of abstract concepts I already knew about architecture and its importance. Architecture shares the same meaning as it does in construction. Before constructing any building, various elements need to be considered, such as scalability, elasticity, and durability. By taking these aspects into account, the design phase begins at the architecture stage. It's crucial to clearly identify what is necessary and what is not, to fully understand the customer's needs, and to proceed with development while keeping that understanding in mind. This approach allows for quick and easy resolution of problems when they arise. Neglecting scalability, elasticity, and other factors during the design stage can lead to the worst-case scenario of having to start over from scratch if additional necessary functions are identified later. Therefore, preventing this situation is essential to the design process. The second thing I learned was that, building upon the previous knowledge, I had the opportunity to delve into system design. System design involves contemplating how to design a system effectively. Design patterns are also formulated based on this concept, and after gaining a basic understanding, I began considering the usability of design patterns.
