Section 6:Second Project 2d Motion Tracking a scene and Cleanplating
Quiz.
Question 1:
Why do you need to DEGRAIN when you do a cleanplate patch?
-Because you are freezing a still frame, changing it, and re-tracking that still frame back on. If you freeze a normal video frame and you don't de-grain it, you will have frozen grain trapped in the image.
Question 3:
What is a reference frame?
-It is a frame you are aligning your fake texture or cleanplate to.
When you create a cleanplate or want an image to stick to a track, you need to set a reference frame of where that picture lines up. This is so when you export a transform, on the line up frame (reference frame) the image will stay in the same spot. The reference frame is setting the X and Y transform position to (0, 0) , ON THAT FRAME.
Question 4:
A 2d track is best for:
A shot with a camera moving in X and Y (Horizontal and Vertical), otherwise known to filmmakers as a 'Tilt' or 'Pan'.
Question 7:
What is a cleanplate
A version of the plate (footage) with undesired objects or tracking markers removed.
